Why I'm building this

I've spent three months running every major AI coding tool on real production codebases — a Node + Postgres SaaS, an Astro static site, a 100k+ LOC monorepo. The free blog posts cover the methodology and the high-level numbers. This guide is the working artifact: the spreadsheets I actually use, the procurement questions I'd ask, the 12-criteria sheet that says "buy this tool if you weight these dimensions above these."
