Jensen Huang
CEO · NVIDIA
Co-founder and CEO of NVIDIA, the company whose GPUs power nearly all modern AI training and inference.
Who Is Jensen Huang
Jensen Huang is the co-founder, president, and CEO of NVIDIA, which he started in 1992. Originally a graphics chip company aimed at video games, NVIDIA under Huang became the indispensable hardware supplier of the AI era.
What He Built
Huang’s decisive bet was CUDA — a software platform released in 2006 that let developers run general-purpose computation on NVIDIA GPUs. When deep learning took off, CUDA-enabled GPUs turned out to be the ideal hardware for training neural networks. That foresight positioned NVIDIA to supply the chips behind virtually every major AI model.
Why He Matters
NVIDIA’s data center GPUs — the A100, H100, and their successors — are the scarce resource that gates how fast AI labs can move. Huang’s product roadmap and allocation decisions effectively set the pace of the entire industry, and NVIDIA’s rise to one of the most valuable companies on earth made him one of the defining figures of the AI boom.
